SCR 9: Louisiana Task Force on Fatherhood Engagement
The Louisiana Task Force on Fatherhood Engagement has released its final report, “SCR 9: Louisiana Task Force on Fatherhood Engagement,” outlining recommendations to strengthen father involvement and improve outcomes for children and families in Louisiana. The report highlights the critical role fathers play in child development and provides policy and programmatic recommendations to reduce barriers that prevent many fathers from fully engaging in their children’s lives.
Dad’s Day at the Capitol
Dad’s Day at the Capitol: Fatherhood to the Frontlines brings together fathers from across the state from all walks of life to ensure our voices are heard on issues affecting families and children. We seek to:
Raise awareness about the important role and powerful presence of fathers and the issues Louisiana fathers face related to their children and families.
Facilitate relationship-building and advocacy between fathers from across the state and Louisiana Legislators and policymakers.
Create a space where fathers can connect and learn from each other and experience what is possible in working together across age, race, religion, and geography.
